LIONS PARK IN TUMBY GETS A FACE LIFT
Bedecked in the fluro..
Lions Club of Tumby Bay & District continue to put shoulder to the wheel.
Or in this case hands on the Lions Park BBQ shelter to give it a face lift.
The walls of the covered BBQ shed were starting to show signs of the salt air and climate conditions.
Thursday 1 August '24 was the start day of refurbishment when members of Tumby Bay Lions gathered with hammers, crowbars, drills and grinders to remove the old steel sheeting in readiness to replace with the new.
It was short work for this dedicated band of workers who within hours had stripped out the old sheets and trellis ready for phase two with the installation of the refurbishment wall cladding.
Hundreds of locals and visitors use the free BBQ facilities at the Lions Park on Tumby terrace every month.
The electric powered BBQ, tables, seating and benches is provided in a sheltered covered ares within a beautifullly manicured lawned area on Tumby Terrace. Click here for map
Tumby Bay Lions clean the BBQ, shelter and park on a daily basis.
As our pictures show it was all hands on deck.
All work has now been completed and ready for residents and visitors to enjoy the green lawns, covered shelter, tables, benches and BBQ.
